Berkshire Hathaway Inc. promoted two of its top executives in a move seen as potentially grooming two potential successors to Warren Buffett.
Gregory Abel was named vice chairman for noninsurance business operations. Ajit Jain became vice chairman for insurance operations.
The executives also were added to the board of Berkshire. That brings the number of directors up to 14 from 12.
