Ben & Jerry’s accuses parent company of removing CEO over political posts

In a lawsuit, Ben & Jerry’s has accused parent company Unilever of forcibly removing CEO David Stever over the brand's political posts.

Lawyers for Ben & Jerry's allege the company's 2000 merger with Unilever “protects Ben & Jerry’s interests by precluding the unilateral removal of its CEO."

Ben & Jerry's previously alleged Unilever was attempting to silence the brand's public comments on political issues on social media.
