Beijing to probe sale of Uber's China business

The sale of Uber's China operations to rival Didi Chuxing is coming under scrutiny from Beijing.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce is prepping an antitrust investigation of the deal over questions of whether it had been properly declared to authorities.

In exchange for its China business, Uber would receive an 18 percent stake in Didi and become its largest shareholder.
