Beijing to host 2022 Winter Olympics

Beijing has been chosen to host the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics, beating the bid of Kazakhstan's Almaty.

According to the BBC, the Chinese capital will become the first city to host both the summer and winter games. It hosted the 2008 summer Olympics.

The International Olympic Committee vote 44-40 in favor of Beijing.
