Beer distributor merger forms Missouri Eagle

Brown Beverage of Lebanon and Marquart Beverage Company LLC of Washington have merged to become Missouri Eagle LLC. The new company also purchased Larry Hickey Distributing Company Inc. of Joplin.

Charles E. Brown, owner of Brown Beverage Company and new CEO of Missouri Eagle, said the distributor of Anheuser-Busch products will continue to be locally owned and managed.

"Customers can expect to see the same sales representatives and drivers servicing their accounts," said Brown, who has distributorships in Lebanon and Nevada.

Brown said the purchase of Hickey Distributing will expand operations to 4.2 million in case sales.

"Our customers will benefit from the combined strength of these successful companies and our service, integrity and professional ability will strengthen and improve," Brown said.

Missouri Eagle now has locations in Lebanon, Joplin, Washington and Nevada.
