American Foods Group is planning to invest $450 million on a new beef processing facility in Warren County, west of St. Louis.
The plant would create more than 1,300 new jobs and generate a $1 billion economic impact for the state, officials said.
Green Bay, Wisconsin-based AFG provides fresh, frozen and prepared beef products for the food-service, retail and international markets.
