Kansas City-based salon and spa retailer Beauty Brands filed for bankruptcy.
Its bankruptcy petition lists assets of $10 million to $50 million and liabilities of $10 million to $50 million.
The filing comes just weeks after the company announced the closure of 25 stores and layoffs of corporate staff.
