During a Better Business Bureau of Southwest Missouri's awards ceremony late last week, two Springfield companies were presented the BBB Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics, given to organizations that promote ethical business practices.
Recently expanded Rick's Automotive was awarded in the medium category, for companies with six to 39 employees. Success Naturally, which provides Yoga lessons, life coaching and wellness consultations, among other services, was honored in the small category, for companies with one to five employees.
“These companies have raised the bar in ethical business practices and should be proud of their accomplishments," said Judy Mills, president and CEO of BBB of Southwest Missouri, in the release.
In recognizing Rick's Automotive for the award, the BBB said the company has been providing a one-stop auto repair services to Springfieldians for more than 30 years.
"With growing technology, the general public may have a hard time keeping up with advancements and must trust their service technicians. Rick’s takes great pride in making sure their customers completely understand and are comfortable with the steps taken to repair their vehicles," the release reads. "Rick’s commitment to honesty, integrity and morals is just one reason our judges chose Rick’s Automotive as 2012 BBB Torch Award recipient in the medium category."
Finalists in the category were Gray Heating & Cooling and Losh Communications.
In the comments for Success Naturally, the BBB praised the company for its customer service during nearly four decades.
"Our judges were impressed with the effort Success Naturally instructors take to respect the right, dignity and privacy of each client, as well as each other," the release says. "For 36 years, Success Naturally has delivered outstanding customer service based on marketplace ethics as evidenced by the commitment of clients that are now introducing their children and grandchildren to its services more than 30 years later."
American Heritage Carpet Cleaning and InFocus Financial Solutions were finalists in the category.[[In-content Ad]]
