The St. Louis Better Business Bureau is eliminating the southwest Missouri president and CEO position.
The St. Louis BBB announced last month it would absorb the southwest Missouri BBB, which works out of Springfield.
“Once all of the details of the merger are complete, there will be a regional director of the office in Springfield managing operations of BBB in southwest Missouri,” St. Louis BBB Vice President of Communications and Marketing Christopher Thetford said via email.
Following the merger announcement, southwest Missouri President and CEO Jon Anfinson resigned Aug. 1. Anfinson took the job last year after 10-year leader Judy Mills retired. Kim McAdoo, the office’s business relations and retention specialist, is serving as interim president and CEO until the St. Louis BBB chooses a regional director.
“We are not aware of the reasons that led Jon Anfinson to resign from BBB,” Thetford said.
Anfinson’s LinkedIn profile states he is “looking for a new challenge.”
