Baymont Inns & Suites

Work continues on owner/developer Greg Walker’s new three-story lodging facility. Larry Snyder & Co. is the general contractor for the project and Bates and Associates Inc. is the architect. Engineers are LaRose and Schober Engineering Inc. and Security Design Group. The 50,000-square-foot hotel will have 92 rooms. The estimated construction cost is $4 million. The hotel will include handicapped-accessible rooms and meeting and conference facilities. There also will be an indoor pool, spa, exercise facilities and a sundries area. Completion is scheduled for Aug. 1.
The Baymont is part of Airport Plaza, a multiuse development at the corner of Kearney and West Bypass in northwest Springfield. Airport Plaza blends office, commercial and restaurant space with multifamily uses.
