Bayer’s Roundup woes may force it to sell assets

Bayer AG officials said legal woes related to its weed killer Roundup could force the company to sell assets, issue new equity or borrow funds.

Bayer's annual report indicated the company “may incur considerable financial disadvantages" related to lawsuits.

Plaintiffs have alleged the herbicide causes cancer.
