Bayer agreed to pay nearly $11 billion to settle cancer claims linked to its Roundup weed killer product.
The settlement has been reached on behalf of roughly 100,000 people. There have been around 125,000 lawsuits related to the product's alleged role in cancer cases.
Bayer will pay as much as $9.6 billion to resolve outstanding claims. The remainder will be placed in a fund to deal with future litigation.
