Bayer to pay $698M to Oregon

German pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Bayer agreed to pay $698 million to the state of Oregon.

The funding ends a lawsuit over polychlorinated biphenyls pollution associated with products made by Monsanto, which Bayer owns.

Bayer officials said the Oregon agreement contains no admission of liability or wrongdoing by the company.
