Bayer to close St. Joseph animal health plant

Bayer HealthCare announced it will close its animal health product manufacturing plant in St. Joseph this June.

The company employs 135 in the city.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, Bayer plans to attempt to sell the plant and some of the products made there, as well as retain a distribution center in the city.
