Bayer's projection for its remaining Roundup legal costs increased to $2 billion, according to the company's third quarter earnings report.
That's up $750 million from a previous company estimate.
Bayer took on Roundup in its 2018 purchase of St. Louis-based Monsanto Co. for $63 billion. The product has been at the center of lawsuits alleging it causes cancer.
