Bayer finalizes $57B loan to buy Monsanto

Bayer AG finalized the syndication of a $57 billion bridge loan to support its acquisition of Monsanto Co., people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

The 12-month deal is said to be supported by 27 lenders.

In a record overseas acquisition for a German company, Bayer is set to buy St. Louis-based seed supplier Monsanto for $66 billion.
