Bayer executive dies after car crash in STL

Bayer Crop Science executive Mauricio Amore Ferreira died Friday, two days after he was injured in a cash crash on Interstate 270 in St. Louis. He was 47.

Amore Ferreira had a nearly 20-year career at Monsanto, joining Bayer when it acquired the former firm in 2018. For Bayer Crop Science, he was global commercial strategy and development lead.

Amore Ferreira was driving a vehicle last week when it collided with another as it attempted to change lanes.
