Bayer apologizes for Monsanto practice

Germany's Bayer apologized for its Monsanto division collecting a list of journalists and lawmakers who have been critical of the company.

“This is not the way Bayer seeks dialogue with society and stakeholders. We apologise for this behavior," Bayer officials said, noting, however, the practice is not illegal.

The Paris prosecutor's office last week launched an investigation into a leaked list of the names compiled by Monsanto. French law reportedly prohibits the gathering of a person's political and philosophical views without their permission.
