Springfield-based Bass Pro Shops is set to debut its newest Lone Star State store by month's end.
A June 26 grand opening event has been set for the company's new Outdoor World store in Grand Prairie, Texas, according to a news release. The store is the 15th in Texas and fifth in the Dallas metro area.
The 100,000-square-foot store was announced in 2022, with Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris saying at the time that the company was "very excited to open another location in the great state of Texas, where we have come to know incredibly passionate sportsmen and women who love the outdoors as much as we do."
Bass Pro's Outdoor World store in Grand Prairie is slated to employ more than 130 people, according to the release.
The company additionally has plans to open an Outpost store in Odessa, Texas, in spring 2025, according to past reporting.
Bass Pro currently has 172 stores, according to its website.
