Bass Pro to host bowfishing tourney at Pyramid

Bass Pro Shops' Memphis, Tenn., Pyramid will serve as the central headquarters this year for a bowfishing tournament that got its start at Table Rock Lake in 2013.

The U.S. Open Bowfishing Championship will be held July 8-10 at the Mississippi river traveling by the Tennessee city.

“With our largest prize packages ever and an incredible new venue along the banks of the Mississippi River, this year’s championship promises to be the biggest and best yet,” said John Paul Morris, a bowfisherman who is the son of Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris.

Tournament participants will have a shot at over $100,000 in prizes and giveaways.
