The restaurant floats on Lake Taneycomo near Bass Pro Shops White River Outpost, an anchor tenant at the landing. Officials are celebrating its opening Oct. 30.
The 6,800-square-foot restaurant, with 4,000 square feet of outside dining, seats 307 people. Steve Todd is general manager, Tom Metzner is chef, and Kacie Cramer is front manager, according to a Bass Pro news release.
Diners will have a view of the lake through wall-to-wall sliding glass doors and windows on three sides of the restaurant, according to the release. Other features include a stone fireplace, two private dining rooms and décor that includes antique motors, fishing equipment, paddles, boats and trophy mouths of local fish species.
The menu offers local fare, such as trout, catfish, walleye, St. Louis-style barbecue ribs, Ozarks hickory-smoked prime rib, steaks, chicken, hamburgers and sandwiches. Other seafood will include tilapia, mahi mahi, tuna and shrimp.
The eatery is named after the White River, one of the first routes used by early American settlers, according to the release.
White River Fish House will serve 11 a.m.–10 p.m. daily.
