The Shop Blog at InArkansas.com reports the grand opening of Bass Pro Shops' 61st store is Nov. 13.
Next month's opening will bring to a close 10 years of development interest for Bass Pro in Little Rock. The Springfield-based company in mid-2012 announced plans to open an Outdoor World in Little Rock, a capstone of attempts to enter the market dating back to 2003.
Bass Pro is linking with developer Tommy Hodges' 169-acre Gateway Town Center near the interchange of interstates 30 and 430.
The company has yet to announce the lineup of special guests scheduled to appear at the store opening. Earlier this month, Bass Pro opened store No. 60 in Utica, N.Y., with appearances by NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr. and store founder Johnny Morris and was emceed by Jimmy Houston.
