Bass Pro looks to redevelop Memphis park

Bass Pro Shops is among five businesses seeking to redevelop Mud Island River Park in Memphis, Tenn.

According to The Commercial Appeal in Memphis, the Springfield-based outdoor retailer has so far only submitted a letter of interest, while other applicants have created detailed proposals.

On Wednesday, officials in Memphis named all of the respondents to a request for qualifications and concept proposals to take on management of all or part of the 34-year-old city-owned park in front of downtown Memphis.
