Bass Pro Shops issued a recall for propane gas grills that pose a fire risk.
The Mr. Steak brand grills have gas regulator hoses with attached fuel gauges that may melt when they come in contact with the bottom of the product’s firebox. In a news release, Bass Pro indicated it received nine reports of grill fires but no evidence of injury or property damage.
The recall affects some 3,300 units sold in the United States and 400 more in Canada.
The products were sold at Bass Pro and Cabela’s stores, as well as BassPro.com, between May 2017 and July of this year. ABT Appliance & Electronics stores also sold the grills, according to the release.
The release indicates Bass Pro cooperated with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada on the recall.
