Today is the deadline for the Springfield-based retailer to commit to a deal. Bass Pro spokesman Larry Whiteley declined to comment on whether an agreement had been reached.
Robert Lipscomb, the city’s manager for the project, could not be reached for comment.
Bass Pro announced nearly two years ago that it intended to invest between $75 million and $100 million to transform the Pyramid into a store. The retailer said at the time that it would lease the structure for as much as $1 million a year.
Officials have said the project’s magnitude has been cause for its delay.
