Basquiat painting sells at auction for $110.5M

Jean-Michel Basquiat’s 1982 painting of a skull brought in $110.5 million at a Sotheby’s auction.

That makes it the sixth most expensive work ever sold at auction.

Also, only 10 other works have surpassed the $100 million mark.
