Project description: This new-build project puts the jail and sheriff’s department under one roof for Barry County, project officials say. The jail will be able to house 100 inmates with multiple holding cells, a booking area, kitchen, laundry and recreation area. The sheriff’s office will include offices, a training room, a conference room, an armory and evidence storage. The project architect is nForm Architecture LLC, with landscape architect frankZdesign LLC. Engineers are Own Inc., civil and geotechnical; RTM Engineering Consultants LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
