Barnes & Noble stock is a bestseller again

Don't close the book on brick-and-mortar book stores just yet. The recent reversal of fortune for Barnes & Noble suggests the last chapter is far from already written.
 
CNNMoney reports that the bookseller's stock jumped by 10 percent Wednesday and is up more than 40 percent for the year. Fourth-quarter revenues are also higher than analysts predicted, the report states.
 
Despite signs of a turnaround, however, analysts say it's too soon to know if there's a happy ending in store for the book stores. Overall earnings are still down and news of B&N's plan to split into two separately traded companies has some investors uneasy.
