Barnes & Noble fires CEO

Posted online
The board of Barnes & Noble has ousted CEO Ronald Boire after less than a year on the job.

Retail sales of the company decreased 1.9 percent in fiscal 2016.

Barnes & Noble plans to immediately find Boire's replacement. Executive Chairman Leonard Riggio will postpone his retirement during the search.
