Barker’s Benevolence

Former TV game-show host and Drury University alumnus Bob Barker presents a $1 million donation to Drury President Todd Parnell on Feb. 11. The donation establishes the Bob Barker Endowment Fund for the Study of Animal Rights, which will begin by creating a course on animal ethics that teaches about issues directly affecting the lives of animals. The course will begin in spring 2010. The donation is Barker’s first to an undergraduate program; he has donated to create similar courses at several law schools including Harvard and Stanford.
