Posted online
A public-private partnership including area banks will provide up to $1 million in interest-free loans to small businesses affected by the unrest in Ferguson, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

A combination of the state of Missouri, St. Louis Regional Chamber, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership and a coalition of three banks – Enterprise Bank and Trust, Pulaski Bank and Commerce Bank – will contribute $250,000 each to the Small Business Relief Program organized by state Treasurer Clint Zweifel.

The business journal said Gov. Jay Nixon announced the program’s capital infusion at St. Louis Community College in Florissant Valley.
