YOUR BUSINESS AUTHORITY

Since the founding of the Assemblies of God Credit Union (AGCU) in 1951, the organization’s employees have been committed to providing solutions to improve its members’ financial lives while giving back to faith-focused and community organizations. AGCU is a full-service, not-for-profit financial institution and one of the ten largest faith-based credit unions in the U.S.
Start with vision
AGCU’s vision statement is to be the world’s most relevant faith-based credit union. AGCU serves people and organizations associated with the Assemblies of God, Convoy of Hope and its employees, and immediate family members of eligible members. Last year AGCU’s membership voted to include adherents of Assemblies of God churches in the United States, making AGCU available across the national AG Fellowship.
Member focus is the key to success
AGCU serves the banking needs of individuals and families, church and ministry, and business clients across the nation, with more than 17,000 members in all 50 states, including missionaries in 190 countries.
The members of AGCU, including its member employees, are the credit union’s owners. Each credit union member holds a share of the credit union, and with their membership share, they gain ownership of the credit union. As an owner, members vote for the business’s growth, development and changes at annual meetings. AGCU members tend to be people who want to make the world a better place to live, in both big and small ways.
Members enjoy day-to-day banking services like video, online and mobile banking, bill pay, high interest earning and free checking, credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, mortgages, insurance, ministry and business accounts, and more.
Make an impact
AGCU employees make a difference every day. From working in a branch on the teller line to the desk of the President and CEO, the employees of AGCU make an impact in the lives of others with work that focuses on a single goal of helping members with a servant’s heart.
When asked about why working at AGCU and the impact of their work, employees shared these comments:
“I love that AGCU is a place that truly cares about our members and building relationships. I hear over and over from our members when they walk in that they love coming in because of how caring, friendly and helpful we are!” – Sharla Herron, Teller
“ AGCU is a character-first organization. Everyone I work with in the mortgage department is looking out for the member. This goes for all the departments, from lenders and processors to underwriters.” – Caleb Plotner, Mortgage Loan Processor
Growing for the future
AGCU is always open to hearing from people attracted to working for an organization that is growing and has a lasting impact locally and globally. “I always look forward to going to work. It might sound cliché, but I enjoy what I do and who I work with. I love that we get the job done as a team and have fun along the way. What sets AGCU apart from other work environments is laughter. Laughter can honestly change any environment,” said Desiree Springer, Mortage Loan Assistant.
If you love providing outstanding customer service, have the drive to be the best you can be and want to feel good about your employer’s contribution to your community and beyond, consider reaching out to AGCU. AGCU is more than a credit union. It’s a community of believers passionate about serving others so everyone can live for a greater purpose.
