Retired banker Todd Parnell signs a copy of his new book, “Mom At War,” for Elise Crain. The book covers his mother’s volunteer service for the American Red Cross during World War II, including letters from Jean Parnell to friends and family from the front lines in Europe. Proceeds from sales of the book benefit the Red Cross and the Alzheimer’s Association. Parnell is currently at work on another book, outlining his family’s Ozarks pioneering history.
