Banker Mark Carney won a leadership race on Sunday to become Canada's next prime minister.
Carney, 59, previously led the Bank of Canada through the 2008 global financial crisis and the Bank of England through Brexit, according to The New York Times.
He's slated to succeed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
