Springfield First Community Bank Chairman and CEO Rob Fulp has been appointed chairman of the Missouri State University College of Business Executive Advisory Council.
Fulp, who started this week as chairman, will serve a two-year term, he said. He succeeds John Wanamaker, managing partner with BKD LLP.
“For me personally, it’s nice to be able to give back to Missouri State, a school that was so good to me coming out of Aurora,” Fulp said. “I will always be grateful for what that school did for me.”
A finance graduate of Missouri State, Fulp also serves as a member of the
board of trustees for the MSU Foundation, the school’s fundraising arm.
“His wisdom and guidance have been invaluable assets to me personally and to the College of Business and Missouri State,” said Stephanie Bryant, dean of the business college, in a news release. “I look forward to his leadership of this group as we work together to enrich the college, and in particular, as we enter into our new
renovation and addition to Glass Hall.”
The 30-member business college advisory council includes such members as Jim Anderson, Gordon Elliott, Ken Meyer, Greg Ostergren and Robin Robeson, according to
Business.MissouriState.edu. The group advises the business college and meets twice annually to hold planning sessions.
