Bank of Japan maintains negative rate policy

The Bank of Japan on Wednesday kept its negative interest rate policy unchanged at 0.1 percent.

The BOJ also announced a 10-year interest rate plan in hopes of achieving its 2 percent annual inflation goal.

Later today, the Federal Reserve is expected to announce whether to raise U.S. rates.
