The Bank of England issued a warning that 10,000 jobs could be lost in the first day after the United Kingdom exits the European Union.
Sam Woods, a deputy governor of the bank, said forecasts of 75,000 job losses over the long term were "plausible."
The bank is urging banks and financial firms to come up with contingency plans to minimize job losses.
