Bank of America Corp. announced last week it will cut up to 4,000 mortgage jobs, largely in California, Texas and Florida, according to a Reuters report published at Finance.Yahoo.com.
The cuts are being made as fewer borrowers refinances and fewer home loans go bad.
About 1,200 employees were notified last week, and the bank expects to make more cuts by the end of the year.
