Bank of America is paying out $250 million in fines and refunds.
The company is being fined for “double-dipping” on overdraft fees, withholding reward bonuses on credit cards and opening accounts without customer consent, The Associated Press reports. The federal government is imposing the fines.
More than $100 million in customer reimbursements are due, along with $150 million in fines.
