Specifically, UNA works to develop public and private partnerships, education and grassroots participation for improvements in the Grant Beach, Midtown, West Central and Woodland Heights neighborhoods, as well as the Sherman Avenue PAC.
“It is because of partners like U.S. Bank and its foundation that we are able to accomplish the neighborhood revitalization work that is so important to the area,” said UNA President Cindy Stephens in the release.
“Our efforts to improve the quality of life for Springfield’s center city neighborhoods can only be enhanced with these types of relationships.”
U.S. Bank Regional President John Wilson said decisions about which groups the foundation assists are made by local employees, and he said the bank is pleased to support UNA.
“The UNA plays a vital role in our community by redeveloping neighborhoods and (helping) individuals achieve homeownership, the bedrock of our American economy and the strength of our community,” Wilson said in the release.
