Bank dividends are near all-time highs

Banks delivered $102.8 billion in dividends to shareholders last year.

That's the third-highest total on record and just below the all-time high of $110.4 billion set in 2007.

After crumbling to $51.1 billion in 2008, dividends have rebounded steadily.
