BancorpSouth taps president, redesigns management structure

Tupelo, Miss.-based BancorpSouth Inc. (NYSE: BXS) has named a new president as part of a broader redesign of its management structure by CEO Dan Rollins.

The company, which operates six BancorpSouth branches in Springfield, named Chris Bagley as president and chief operating officer to succeed the retiring James Kelly, according to American Banker.

The company also reorganized its management structure into five teams. The business development team will handle matters tied to banking, mortgage, insurance, wealth management and equipment finance. The company also created teams to specifically focus on credit, operations, administration and accounting.
