The police chief of the city of Ballwin, nearly St. Louis, has been ousted.
The Ballwin Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to fire Chief Douglas Schaeffler, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
City officials were mum on the reason for the ouster of Schaeffler, who was placed on paid administrative leave two months ago.
