Top baby formula makers Reckitt Benckiser and Nestle are ramping up supplies to the United States to deal with a shortage.
Robert Cleveland, senior vice president of North America and Europe Nutrition at Reckitt, said "unlimited overtime" is being granted at plants in Michigan, Indiana and Minnesota.
U.S. manufacturer Abbott Laboratories, which in February recalled formula over potential bacteria contamination, announced it reached a deal with U.S. health regulators to resume production in Michigan.
