Awards and Achievements

ALLTEL was awarded The United States Telephone Association's Beyond The Call Community Service Award at the 101st Annual Convention and Exhibition in Philadelphia. ALLTEL employees helped raise $22,972 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as well as volunteer hours and resources during the ALLTEL Employee 1998 Star Campaign.

IBM Corporation donated two IBM Pentium desktop computers, valued at more than $3,000, to support National Alliance for the Mentally Ill and Habitat for Humanity, both located in Springfield. The donation is part of a nationwide contribution being distributed through Gifts in Kind International.
