Court Appointed Special Advocates announced five additions to its board of directors: Stephanie Edwards, Lisa Ghan, Chris Shaefer, Elizabeth Rolfe and Jeanne Waters-Hill. CASA volunteers work with abused and neglected children in foster care.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks Inc., which pairs at-risk children with adult mentors, added several new members to its board of directors. New board members Carol Fritts, Laurie Hodge, Lora Hopper, Eric Jensen and Jeff Layman have been elected for three-year terms, and may serve second terms if they choose.
The Rotary Club of Springfield announced its board of directors for the 2003-04 Rotary year. Elected were: Robin Robeson, Commerce Trust Company, president; Bud Greve, Evangel University, president-elect; Beverly Schneider, Trust Company of the Ozarks, secretary; Russ Marquart, Empire Bank, treasurer; John Holstein, Shughart Thomson & Kilroy, director; John Rush, United Way of the Ozarks, director; David Martin, Acme Brick Company, director; Elise Crain, American National Fish and Wildlife Zooquarium, director; and Carol Williamson, community volunteer, past president.
The Springfield Regional Arts Council appointed members to its board of directors. New members are Lee Binley, Susan Brummell, Jeanie Morris, Mary Norman and Ralph Rognstad. Board members Christina Drale and Jeanne Duffey were reappointed for three-year terms. SRAC's new officers are: Jim Baker, president; Ellen Baird, immediate past president; Christina Drale, vice president; Jodie Adams, secretary; and Jared Scott, treasurer.
Health care
Robert T. Brodhead, regional vice president of St. John's Health System and president of St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, was appointed to the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. As a member of the board, his responsibilities include overseeing the administration of MHA and developing association policies.
The Skaggs Community Health Center Auxiliary installed officers for the 2003-2004 year. Officers are: Sarah Schandua, president; Helen Walker, vice president; Dot Steely, secretary; and Barbara Witter, treasurer. Schandua is from Hollister, and the other three are from Branson.
