The American Society of Civil Engineers has elevated Roddy J. Rogers, PE, director with City Utilities of Springfield, to the membership level of fellow within the society. The fellow designation is one of the most esteemed honors that civil engineers can receive from their peers.

Citizens National Bank announced the following staff achievements: Terry Barksdale, assistant vice president, recently received her bachelor's degree in business administration from Drury University. Penny Bruce, a teller and vault custodian for Citizens National Bank, recently received a customer service skills certificate from the Ozark Empire Center for Financial Training, which was formerly known as the American Institute for Banking. The certificate required 12 bank-related course credits.

The Co-Operative Sertoma Club of Springfield recently installed new officers for 2001-02. The officers are: Donna Riseman, president; Norma Buckler, president-elect; Barbara Ingalsbe, secretary; Susie Moody, treasurer; and Larry Snyder, sergeant-at-arms.

The Missouri Association of Insurance Agents recently honored Patrick D. Connell, president of Connell Insurors Inc. in Branson for his service on the MAIA board of directors. He has been on the board since 1998.

The Missouri Board of Geologist Registration recently awarded Donny Nowack registered geologist certification. Nowack, an employee of Sunbelt Environmental Services, also received hazardous material manager certification. Deborah Lee Payne, also a Sunbelt Environmental Services employee, also received hazardous material manager certification.
