PCI President Thomas B. Battles presented a PCI Design Award to Michael Sapp of Sapp Design Associates Architects PC, at the 17th Annual Salute to Design and Construction Awards Banquet.

Bernadette A. Miller was appointed by Mis-souri Gov. Bob Holden to the Missouri Veterans Commission.

National Enzyme Company celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. The National En-zyme Company was originally founded in 1932 by Edward Howell, MD.

The Missouri Blue Knights, Chapter 1, presented a $2,500 check to D.A.R.E. Springfield Inc. at the Battlefield Mall Police Substation. The money will be used to fund D.A.R.E. programs in Springfield.

Martee Robinson, PhD, coordinator of complimentary/alternative medicine at Cox Health Systems, completed a fellowship at the Kaiser Institute Program in integrative medicine.

The Missouri State Fair recently was recognized for excellence at the 111th annual convention of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.The fair received top honors in three categories of the Agricultural Awards Competition and one award in the IAFE Competitive Exhibit Contest.

There were 19 Evangel students inducted into the Missouri Rho chapter of Alpha Chi, a national college honor society. At Evangel, students must have at least a 3.9 grade point average, and membership is limited to no more than 10 percent of the junior and senior classes. The new members are: Catherine Arnold, North Canton, Ohio; Brett Badders, Cleveland Heights, Ohio; Georgia Belin; James Beyer, Baxter Springs, Kan.; Delanie Bradie, Garden City, Kan.; Sarah Braswell, Ozark; Jessica Franck; Aaron Nieuwsma, New Sharon, Iowa; Brian Rainville, Aurora, Ill.; Alice Ramey; Kristen Sink, Rockville, Md.; Brandon Stutzman, Milford, Neb.; Carolyn Tanksley, Hutchinson, Kan.; Matthew Watson, Tulsa, Okla.; and Bradley Wells, Nixa.

James Parsons, PhD, associate professor of music history at Southwest Missouri State Uni-versity, recently was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to further his research on the "Lied," or "art song," which is poetry set to music.

The Missouri Cattleman's Association awarded the Joplin Regional Stockyard's commitment to excellence in the cattle industry by presenting the stockyard with the Allied Indus-try Award at the association's 2001 annual meeting.

Prime Inc., which has its headquarters in Springfield, recently saluted its drivers at the company's annual holiday party. More than 1,400 driving and non-driving associates attended the event. Prime also honored members of its Millionaire Program for having achieved in excess of 1 million miles with the company and introduced the winners of its 2001 Recruiting Contest. For recruiting 30 drivers, Jeff and Jean Bender of Inverness, Fla., were presented the keys to a 2002 Freightliner show truck to use for one year. Prime also recently hosted a breakfast meeting with members of the Missouri Highway Patrol and Missouri state legislators. Randy Price, Prime's directing manager and corporate security, Robert Low, Prime president, and John Hancock, director of ACE training programs, opened the meeting with a discussion on the effects of the national crisis on loads and transit.

Copy Products Inc. announced employee awards. Mark Merz, controller of Copy Products Inc. was given the company's Millennium Award as Employee of the Year. Brent Gammill, field technician for Copy Products Inc. was awarded "Technician of the Year." Merz and Gammill also earned their five-year employment pins, as well.

The Missouri Rehabilitation Center an-nounced plans to implement the AUTROS Point of Care patient management system. MRC will participate in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists Foundation's Fail-Safe Management System Design Study.

Evangel University junior Michaela Baack was elected state public relations officer for the Student Missouri State Teacher's Association.

Bernie Dana, assistant professor of business at Evangel University, recently was appointed to chair the Quality Improvement Subcommit-tee of the American Health Care Asscociation.

Ozarks Technical Community College was named the fastest-growing community college in the United States, in a special report by Community College Weekly. The ranking is based on national enrollment figures among colleges and was announced in a special report by Community College Week, as being the fastest growing community college in the United States based on national enrollment figures among colleges.

John P. Smith, director of the Missouri Division of Credit Unions, was elected to the board of directors of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors.

Vatterott College announced that 35 area residents have completed programs in a range of advanced career training.
