Avon CEO steps down as Natura deal closes

Avon Products Inc. CEO Jan Zijderveld stepped down from the company as it completed its sale to Brazilian personal care cosmetics group Natura & Co. Holding SA.

Natura Executive Chairman Roberto Marques will succeed Zijderveld.

Natura last year agreed to buy Avon in a share swap deal that valued the latter company at $2 billion.
