With general contractor Joe Robinson of Atlas Building Co., Aviation Enterprises is adding 46,000 square feet of hangar space in two hangars. One of the new hangars will primarily be for private corporate users. H Design Group is architect and engineer for the project, which is slated for completion at the end of this year or in early 2004. |ret||ret||tab|

Owner Mel Humphreys said Aviation Enterprises' existing hangar is 22,500 square feet. "We've just outgrown it. We need some more room to store planes, and actually, our maintenance and avionics departments have grown to where they're taking up more of this hangar," Humphreys said. The company, which has about 22 employees, does own a few planes, he said, but most of the company's charter work is with leased airplanes.
